Flickr


Just learned to use Flickr. I am excited about some of the ways I can use this in my classroom. I liked the article that I read about the teacher that assigned his students to join flickr and post pictures for the other students to comment. I think that you could have students join flickr, add 10 pictures that tell about their novel adding a description to each one. When the class is finished with their novels, they could all go comment on each others pictures about the novel they read. The teacher could grade on how well the pictures represent the novel and the interest they get from other students. This is a picture that I downloaded from Flickr. It is a picture of people waiting outside the bookstores to get the last book from the Harry Potter series. I liked it because my girls and I went to a Harry Potter party at Barnes and Noble and waited for the book to come out too! I couldn't wait to read it. It only took me three days! I miss Harry too...there will be no more Harry Potter books, but the last one was fabulous.
