RSS and Readers
I really didn't understand how to create a public page, so I opted out of the optional assignment. I also had trouble with creating links or sharing pages on the blogs, so I haven't done that either. Please advise.
QUESTIONS/ANSWERS:
What do you like about RSS and readers?
I really liked being able to organize the blogs that I read and put them all in one place.
How do you think you might be able to use this technology in your school or personal life? I think that I will use these in my personal life to keep up with news in the world, our community and our district. I plan to teach my students to use blogs and make blogs for them to follow.
How can libraries/teachers/administrators use readers or take advantage of this new technology? Our librarian uses these to help teachers/students keep up with current/new literature and technologies. As a teacher I plan to create blogs to inform students and to give them a forum to respond. I plan to use the RSS to organize blogs, show how to use them on the Activeboard and have them respond for homework assignments. I think administrators could use them to inform parents/teachers. I noticed some board members, teachers, classes and administrators are already doing this! Yay!
