Technorati & Tags
I am not sure that I get what "tags" are...it seems as if they are used in different ways. I read one article that seemed to explain that, but it isn't very clear.
I think I just tagged something, but I am not sure. I tried a free download to make tagging easier, but it was blocked by the district. Maybe this is why I have been having trouble with technorati, delicious and tags....UGHHHHH!
I remember being confused on this one too, but think of tags in reference to subject headings in a library catalog. In other words, for the book Harry Potter, the subject headings in the catalog record would be "fantasy," "magic," "wizards," etc. So when you do a subject search in the library catalog, typing in any of those words would bring up that book. Tags are like subject headings for websites.
